Paloma Trigas

Daar stond zo opeens op het podium, tijdens de grand finale van The Chieftains. Playing the fiddle, laughing, enjoying herself, warming to the audience, a big, big, big smile and her long blond hair, waving back and forth... Did I mention the gorgeous smile. Waving at Paddy Moloney who seemed surprised to see her on stage, playing her solo, ... a true angel on stage !

During the encore, a 'boomball' dancing line came on stage, close by, ..... Yes the smiling blonde... End of encore, end of show... Who was that, was the main question at our minds....

While crossing the field towards the Irish Bar, just after the gig, I run into a smiley blonde, with a fiddle on her back... the angels turns out to be Paloma Trigas, who opened the flamundo on sunday playing with The Urban Folk Quartet. One gig I missed....

A nice chat and a peck on the cheek later, she went off to meet the rest of her band, and left me dreaming.......
